I am all new to this ipod stuff & I just got mine in the mail today! I have about 700 songs in limewire that I am wanting to sort in playlists in itunes, then upload to my ipod... I enqueued all my songs in limewire, but only 150 or so songs are showing up in my itunes library. Help me please! The more detailed the better....go ahead, talk to me like I'm 4, because I probably won't understand if you don't. Haha, Thanks!!!

Ok .... First make sure you know which folders all your MP3's are in. It's alot easier to have them all in the same place. Once you have that Go into Itunes click on FILE in the upper right hand corner. Select ADD FILE TO LIBRARY and go through the list and find and open it up and you can add a few files at a time .. OR hit ADD FOLDER and the whole folder will be put in there.

Now here comes the fun part. itunes has a very specific way of listing files. Lots of times i'll add a song to my Library and go to Itunes and I won't be able to find the song. Turns out it's in itunes but it's not labled properly so it get stuck in a weird place. Sooo you gotta go through and adjust the labels on the files which is tedious but easy... Right click on the name of a file in Itunes - Select Get Info - Select the INFO tab... you're gonna want to have the Title Artist and Genre at least properly marked. Then click on Next and it will bring up the next song on your library list... It takes a while but once you get all that in order using Itunes is much smoother.
I hope this helps Have fun with your new toy... this things are FUN aren't they :D God bless ya!

Get in to you Itunes software, go to file, then search files, that will go and find automatically all the songs available in you PC, as soon as you do that go to your library and find out if all your songs are there, if so, just synchronize with the Ipod and you are done...

If not, then you need to make sure that you limewire downloads have been done in an MP3 file format, some of them are Windows media format, so you need to have all your music as MP3 in order to get recognized by the "ipod" software.

you have to convert the songs into itunes.
see the ones that didnt show up in itunes, are the ones that itunes does not recoginze as a proper format..so by converting them itunes will recognzie them

i cant really remember properly how to convert.
you can convert song by song or folder by folder into itunes by going "add a song" or "add a folder" under the file menu. And if itunes asked anything after u've clicked add song/folder click yes, this will be itunes converting hte songs, will take awile.

Open iTunes, bypass to record and then bypass to import (or possibly it is upload) song. then you definately can tranfer songs into your iTunes. next, plug on your iPod and it would locate those songs via itself. there is likewise a thank you to have Limewire songs bypass immediately into iTunes. i think of it quite is a factor of the alternatives in Limewire, yet i'm not precisely particular the place it is at.
