For concealed carry, if any expected use is to be very close, and the user is highly proficient, go for it.

If user is less than very good, and unless weakness dictates use of small caliber to keep the recoil manageable, I'd advise not using anything firing less than 9mm, or with so short a barrel.

The love of Christ is the best defense against the devil. I go into prisons all the time, surrounded by convicted felons, any one of which could kill me if he took a notion to do so. But I carry the love of Christ and have never had a problem.
