You call it quits when you are trying and the other person isn't.

It takes two people to make or break a marriage. If you are the one trying you need to sit down with your spouse and say I want this relationship to work but I can not do it alone, find out if he/she wants the same things you do and how you can achieve the goal if you do. If not you know it is over and you can move forward with no regrets knowing you made the attempt to salvage the relationship.

Please please please don't give up. It's worth it to struggle through. Sometimes you have to carry him in it...and sometimes he will carry you!!! Especially if there are kids....oh don't give up!!!! Have you ever read anything by Townsend and Cloude??? Freakin brillant. There is a need or needs somewhere are that aren't being met and well boundaries that are being crossed. You will learn that putting your foot down on somethings will make the relationship actually healthier. Seek some wise council. You can work through anything...this is your life, your love......you can nurish it back to health....I will so say a prayer for you. Have hope!! There is a good reason too.

Yup. Marriage like anyother relationship is a two way street. if you've done everything you're capable to reach oot to your partner and he/she has not reciprocated then it's time to move on.

All you can do is try, if he isn't trying then you need to move on. You can not fix it by yourself .
