Her eyesight is very poor, I'm just wondering if I can keep quiet about it.

Get the dead one stuffed; when the other one goes, replaced it with the stuffed one - she'll never notice the difference, she will assume that it is getting old and not very mobile of late (like herself) - move it around the house when you visit.

U better hope her eyesight is poor! If that question is for real matey then oops! (Is it wrong that I smiled a little when I read it? That is comic genius, like something out of a sitcom!) Although, my grandad did that to my nan (his wife) and she never even noticed! I was the only person he told and he died shortly after telling me and it makes me smile when I think about it.

I assume the dog that should have been put down was ill. If so, wait a bit then tell Nan that the other has now become sick, and will have to be put down as well. She´ll never know the difference.

I presume this story is for real..if it is then you MUST tell her. The dog that SHOULD have been put down will need to be destroyed too and then she will be left with nothing. Maybe you can offer to by her another dog when she is ready. (although I personally wouldnt let you near my dogs now)

Yes.......what are you gonna do when the dog she thinks is OK becomes sick.....or doesn't come when she calls because it the other dog. Tell her your sorry and if she would like a dog you would get her another
