is it built in or can u buy AAA batteries 4 it. Also how long does the battery last for adn how much will it cost to buy a new battery if it breaks? Thanks a lot ppl! :s

i just got one about a month or 2 ago, and i was confused too. in the box there will be a charger.
its white, and u plug the long rectangular part into the bottom of ur ipod, and the smaller part in to ur computer. it'll show u where to plug in the charger in the directions. thats all u do, and itunes i'll pop up. it'll start charging. if the battery has a lightning bolt through it that means its CHARGING and if it has what looks like a cord, then that means its DONE CHARGING. its as easy as that

Please do not worry about battery when you want buy iPOD nano. It has a built in rechargeable battery of the type normally used in new mobile phones. If you are aware, it is called Li-Ion battery and it can charged few thousands of times and does not over-charge even if you charge continuously for hours. The duration of usage should be about 4 hours for a full charge, but this can vary based on how-loud you are listening and how many times you use the display. both higher volume and frequent display switching-on reduce the duration of usage before next charge. I did hear of battery problems in earlier models of iPOD but not in later models like Nano.

you can not buy a battery for the ipod nano. u would have to actually send it to apple to get a battery put in it! if you go to best buy and buy the ipod they offer a replacement plan for a few more dollars depending on how much ur ipod is and best buy will actually replace ur ipod if the battery wears out... or stops holding the charge! as for how long it lasts it depends on how much u use it!

It's built in. Can't be replaced. The new ones are supposed to last a long time. Mine last about 4 hours.
