apologize to her. then think of a way to make her and maybe yourself laugh about that situation. then just be yourself.

I don't know if what you did made the relationship unable to be saved, so I'll just advise you on how to handle the next one.
Don't try to impress anyone. Be yourself, because a) no one is better qualified to be you and b) people eventually see through the false fronts we often present to the world.
Honesty is the best way to go. I don't know how old you are, and I understand that it's hard for young people to know just who they really are at times--and some folks never seem to figure it out even as they mature.
But it's best to seek out people who have similar interests to yours, be it music, acting, skateboarding, chess--that automatically gives you something to talk about. I've found that people are impressed with those who can talk pretty knowledgeably about common interests, and it gives a departure point for exploring other topics.

I think the best thing to do in the long run is just be yourself. Be honest and trustworthy; be clean, polite and dress nice for her.
