When you look at you lips why is your top lip lighter than your bottom lip?

The colour of your lips is mainly defined by the blood flowing thorough them. The blood is nearer the skin in your lips rather than your face. If you have different coloured lips then you may have a circulation problem. In heart attack victims there Lips go blue, due to low level of Blood Oxygen.

It depends on how much melanin you have in the skin of your lips.
Some people, when they sunbathe forget to apply suncream on their lips and the top part of the lip goes darker than the bottom.
I haven't seen someone with the top part lighter than the lower part though. Everyone is different.
