I've lived in Las Vegas for most of my life, and the winters aren't too bad. During the day, the temperatures are in the 40s or so, so you'll need a jacket (just not a real think one). At night, temperatures can get down to freezing. On windy days, it feels a lot colder. It does get windy kind of often, so be prepared for that. I wouldn't worry about it raining, since we only get rain a few times per year. When it does rain, it usually lasts about 10 minutes or less, and then it's all over. Winter is a good time to visit because there aren't as many tourists here, and also, you won't die of heat exhaustion while doing something simple like walking down the Strip.

Las Vegas Weather In January

If you had to bet on an entire week of bad weather occuring in Las Vegas, you'd be smart to bet on either January or February. January is the second wettest month, on average, to February. The three snowiest months recorded in Las Vegas were all in January. Normal high temperatures range from the mid to upper 50's, and lows in the mid to upper 30's. A clear January day in Las Vegas with little wind is wonderful, but a cloudy, windy day can be chilling to most people. All that said, Las Vegas isn't Minneapolis, and beautiful days are still the norm.

Las Vegas Weather In February

Like January, February can be cold and possibly wet. February is the wettest month, on average, in Las Vegas (yet it's still drier than most other parts of the country). There hasn't been a significant snow in many years in February, but it will probably happen again someday. The biggest concern for someone visiting in February would be the possible combination of cloudiness and wind. But don't count on bluster, and by the end of the month the typical high temperature is in the mid 60's.

Las Vegas is the most exciting and engaging city on earth and with hotelbye you may find out more. Nowhere otherwise on earth you will see a town that has most of the journey amenities that only a complete resort destination could possibly offer: magnificent casino accommodations, fine dining, amazing live leisure and state-of-the artwork meeting and business display facilities. Las Vegas is definitely a magnificent town and precisely what you'd assume from a world-class area, and more, is right here for the travel pleasure. Among the areas you need to visit in Las Vegas is the Fremont Street, a pedestrian region with all kinds of unique sites.

COLD! The weather you expect is no where in sight. I went and had to shop for a heavier coat. These months have rain and sometimes snow. But the real problem is the wind, it could be cold but the wind brings it to a new level.

Laurie D said it...pretty cold unless perhaps your coming from somewhere that averages around 20degrees then it would be warm to you. But still warm clothes, maybe a jacket and defiantly prepare for rain it's our rainy season.

People that auto say Hot and Dry...yes from May-to Mid Sept. that is the case...but it's not like that the rest of the year...stop generalizing!
