For being called the Travel Channel, I don't feel like they cover much. It seems like all they ever show are hotels, the Grand Canyon and endless poker games in Las Vegas. Honestly, I feel like I get to travel the world more by watching "The Amazing Race" every week! Where in the world do you want to see the Travel Channel take you?

i suppose that certain tourist agencies (possibly ones based in las vegas or arizona?) have an agenda that the travel channel must cater to. but honestly, how much more poker can anyone stand to watch on tv?

for me, a trip should feature the natural resources AND the human resources of a given area, not just one or the other. i'd like to see someplace with natural beauty and an interesting local history or populace. where you ask?

russia. there is so much yet to learn for americans about this huge land. siberia is stark and beautiful by all accounts i've read, the people are welcoming, and the architecture is amazing. and the history...

san francisco, seattle, the coast of maine. whoa, they DO have something in common. the water. i love how land meets sea, and how people make use (unfortunately, or ABuse) of these places. seattle: the temperate rainforest and mount ranier are must-sees for me. also the fish market and safeco field... maybe a trip up to vancouver? san francisco: the architecture, alcatraz, the golden gate. what an amazing site for a city. maine: the easternmost tip of the usa. food, forests, and people with funny accents ("ayuh, yer thing soh?") gotta go.

ho-hum, i'm sure it's poker night again on tv though. well, thanks for the opportunity to dream a little!

The Travel Channel is a shill for Disney and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor's Bureau. How about trips down little-traveled US roads, like the book "Blue Highways", or small villages in Europe or the UK, anything other than Vegas and poker tournaments.

wish they would go to more different national parks in the US. i think i have seen the shows on vegas, disney, and the grand canyon a billion times. they are always on. yesterday the had zion and niagara falls so that was good. yeah i don't get why they have poker tournaments on. they do have that show passport to europe which is interesting. they should do a whole day of programing for each continent.
