separation in the military isn't as bad now as it was years ago. I married my Army man before he joined the Army so right now is his first deployment leaving me and our two children at home. It hasn't been that bad he calls every other day or so and emails us daily. We knew when he joined that we would be separated for up to a year and as long as you have a trusting and loving relationship it is not the end of the world. I do miss him and so do my kids there have been hard parts but nothing to awful. Hope that helps.

When my husband went to Korea I kept busy---I got me a part-time job(we had a child, so full time work was no option). There is really not a lot that can be done to cope with the separation and fear of losing your husband. My husband was stationed at the DMZ which is not exactly a secure area, and my husband had to go there twice....

I was a military wife but divorced now. We dated for several months and was married one yr when he went to Korea for a yr.
Its best to find other wives or women that their significant others are gone too. Join support group, and a big thing is to really keep yourself busy!!!! Good luck

I'm not a military wife or even in the military, but it seems that most of the wives my company serves just "go on like normal". Best of luck and thanks to you and your family! God Bless America!

Speaking from experience, a lot of them end up cheating because they are lonely and need to be with someone.
