Not really. I do dislike some people's actions, but some part of me always thinks they just don't know better or they could be nice in spite of that one thing they do that I don't like....

You're right; it is a very extreme word, and my guess is that most people use the word incorrectly.

When you really hate someone, it consumes you, and consumes everything you do. It saps your energy and even sleep won't allow you to escape its grasp!

If you've hated once, I don't think you'd ever wont to go back there again; it's such a dark place!

The word hate is a horrible word, but yes there is at least one person I hate. The vile bastard who has psychologically and physically abused my best mate for the last decade.
There is also a traitorous colleague whom I work with who I'm very close to hating (she corrupted the only man I've ever loved).

I don't actually Hate anyone, Instead when there is a person or a group of people who brings up that emotion I end up just feeling sad for the world. I believe that hate is just hurt and sadness twisted into a ball of fire!

I have finally figured out that it's a terrible waste of time to hate anyone. I used to hate a couple people, but when I saw how life was going for them, I said, "What comes around goes around."

Basically, I've seen that what you do comes back to you. If you're doing things that hurt other people, whether or not you know you're doing them, that's what you're going to get back from life. If you're doing things that help others, then THAT is what you'll get back.

This question had me thinking for a few minutes - I strongly dislike many people for various reasons - some people there is no specific reason other than my instincts tell me not to like them even though I have no idea why - however I dont hate anyone.

No, hate is a very big word and should only be used as a last resort, I pity a lot of people and dislike them, but hate, no that is too deep.

I dislike some people. The only person I said I hate is Hitler - I think its OK to hate him. Although it is a waste of energy cause he is dead.

No one at the moment or I have ever come across I hate..but if they are jealous of me..I pity them. I don'r even hate the people who builled me at school, I feel sorry for them because they have to live with the guilt for the rest of their life.

yes- the school bullies, who also included my then high school class members who succeeded in tormenting and bulling me. a student, who i met at college who was a nasty, conniving piece of work who was horrible to me and treated me like ****. she hummilated me and she was a total bully in my eyes. and a former college tutor- of whom i won't name in case she reads this-a two-faced, hypocrite who would be nice and friendly when i was studying at college- only to be rude, aggressive, obnoxious and spiteful in my face and made me cry several times. she said some horrible things right in my face, hence she told me right in my face to go away in a threatening tone. not forgetting she always favoured certain students. likewise, she always liked this girl called abi and always stuck up for her. the way the two got along with each other, whilst my ex-tutor ignored the rest of us, just sickened and infuritated me. i wasn't jealous and seeing as some of the students weren't happy with this behaviour at all either. she was a ******* hypocrite, who would be nice at one minute- only to bite my head off the next. she was and is a good teacher, but as a human being, she is horrible. she just pisses me off: when someone mentions her name, it makes me angry. i totally despise her as a person. there are few others as well that i despise with such a loathing but of which i won't go into detail.

thank goodness that i don't have the misfortune of seeing them in person nowadays, and as i don't have to put up with their crap anymore.
