It's very sweet of you to try and think of ways of cheering up your friend. Sadly, this may be a difficult task as she's facing very tough times. I think that you just being there for her, listening to her troubles when she's feeling low and supporting her as much as you can will help her through the bad times. She's lucky to have a friend like you

Send her flowers just because. Take her out (NOT to get wasted) just to give her some free time. If she has children, offer to sit with the kids to give her a break. Don't crowd or push her, sometimes all women need is space.

Give her a flower...when she have free time, bring her on vacation to cheer up. (bring alone with her children if she had kids). So, that you have relationship friends with her. And also make her happy if she accept your kindness help. Good Luck.

I think your best is to make yourself happy and let her worry about her own happiness. You'll be better off not getting too close to a no win situation as far as feeling like you tried your best. She needs time to re-evaluate her new life situation. Being unhappy at work, wow, what else it new in the US?!

Send her flowers. Put together a gift basket for her with bubble bath, flavored tea & coffee, a couple magazines..... Whatever you think would make her happy.
