I have lived in Texarkana, Texas since 1986. It's a wonderful place to live... about 50-60,000, i think counting both the Texas and Arkansas sides and Yes, the Texas/Arkansas state line runs right through town. We have just about everything we need in this growing little town and anything else can be found in Dallas, 2 1/2 hrs to the southwest or Little Rock, 2 hrs to the northeast. Lots of wonderful people call Texarkana home and there are wonderful school districts, churches, museums, restaurants and a full theater series hosting touring Broadway shows. It's far more than an "ordinary" small town! Just let me know if you have any more questions...

I've been to Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas; my grandfather lived on the Texas side. The town is divided down the center of one street with a painted line, and I recall being quite intrigued as a child that I could stand in two states at once. It also has the only post office in the U.S. that straddles a state line. Beyond that - it's a rather ordinary little Ark-La-Texas area town.

Yup. Texarkana is split between Texas and Arkansas. In fact, there's a street that's split between the two. I think it's State Line Avenue. One side is Arkansas, and the other is Texas.

There's not a whole lot to do there, besides a mall and other shopping, a theater and restaurants. I think the city has a little museum that has information about its history.

Yes I lived in Texarkana, TX. It is a small boring town. Lot of rednecks live there they don't have any good radio stations unless you like country music. The mall there sucks they don't have very many good stores. They just got a new movie theatre a few years ago It's nice and all but it doesn't get a lot of the good movies that come out. I would avoid this town nothing really do to thee except get into trouble.

I have heard of it and went there when I was about 13 for a vacation (there is a lake resort not far from there).

I don't remember it being anything special, very typical Texas/Arkansas. Conservative. A lot of oil money, good-old-boys.
