i.e., inorder to go from dilution set to dilution set.... how much pipetting up and down does it take to mix a dilution before you can go to the next dilution set?

For a 1 in 10 dilution you would pipette 1ml into a 10 ml volumetric (or 5ml into a 50ml etc) and make up to the mark with solvent. We were always taught to mix it by inverting the flask 10 times (i.e. turning it upside down and back 10 times) and NOT to shake it.
If you use the pipette for mixing this may cause an error because the stated volume on the pipette compensates for a small quantity of the concentrate remaining inside it but if you pipette up and down it will be your diluted solution inside it instead.

1;10 dilutions meaning must be in 10 parts of any solutions in quantitative terms only 1 part of medicine is mixed & just by shacking thoroughly by hands or rotating device for abt 2 mts it must get thouroughly mixed up

i do 3 and let it sit for a few minutes before i do the next to make sure that it's well mixed
