Being goth has absolutely nothing to do with religion. It's a sense of style and seeing beauty in things that are "dark." It's not in any way evil. It's just a shift in perception. I've had goth friends that have been athiests, Christian, Jewish, Wiccan, and anywhere in between.

Being goth has nothing to do with religion. It is a fashion style, a life style, but certainly not a religious style. Goths have a certain fashion, like certain music ( but not necessarily one type of music). Usually goths are more open to different types of people than any other group of people I know. They are also some of the most intellectual people I know, and the most understanding. Don't judge someone by their appearance next time, and you may be surprised at how much fun you can have socializing with people out of your comfort zone. Clearly you need to expand your mindset to include infinite possibilities!!!!

Goths are people. they simply choose to dress different. It's usually down to music, not religion. I'm a metal-head and an athiest. I don't believe in God or Satan. I know many goths and most of them are not religious. the few that are are just the same, they just love metal music.

You're presuming too much. goths are generally nice people. The nicest people I know are metal lovers. they understand and accept so much more different things/beliefs/people than many other groups.

Don't be silly goths the same as anyone else can do whatever the hell they like! Why do you have to worship the devil?

There seems to be a bit of a misconception in this question. Since when was Goth culture closely correlated to devil worship?

Don't be ridiculous. Goths worship Peter Murphy, Rozz Williams, Alice Cooper and themselves.

I know a lot of young people who are Goth fashionistas and they believe in God. Just because a person likes to wear black, doesn't mean they automatically must worship the devil.

Think about this for a moment: Before nuns and priests went casual in their attire, they wore black robes and vestments. Black, believe it or not-- wards off evil. Bet you didn't know that.

"I don't think that being 'goth' says anything about beliefs or religion, its more of a point of view, music, and fashion. Being 'goth' isn't a religion."- The kid who wears all black and sits next to me in sewing class.
