What is Fibromyalgia Syndrome?

Fibromyalgia (FMS) is a chronic condition consisting of varied symptoms. The most common symptom is muscle and joint pain located mostly in the lower back, neck, shoulders, upper chest and the base of the head. Fibromyalgia is different among individuals so pain can affect different muscle groups. Other symptoms associated with fibromyalgia can include fatigue, headaches, irritable bowel syndrome, memory loss and difficulty concentrating, light sensitivity and joint and muscle stiffness. Fibromyalgia is more common in women than men. Fibromyalgia was often unrecognized until recently and is considered a serious condition mainly because it interferes with the ability to complete ordinary daily activities like reading, driving, cooking, etc. Fibromyalgia is not diagnosed by a blood test but instead based on the combination of various symptoms.

Conditions found to be related to fibromyalgia include:

Muscle Spasms Temporamandibular Joint Syndrome Major Depressive Disorder Muscle Weakness
Myofascial Pain Syndrome Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency Syndrome (CFIDS) Tension and Migraine Headaches Irritable Bowel Syndrome

If you suffer with some of the above challenges, you may have Fibromyalgia. The Doctor's at 4Life Research™ have designed two Fibromyalgia dedicated products to address these specific disorders. These products are formulated with natural ingredients. We now offer FibroAMJ™ - Day and Night formulas, and Transfer Factor Plus™ for your immune system.

What causes Fibromyalgia?

The cause of fibromyalgia is not known. There is strong evidence that the immune system is involved due to a chronic infection that was never completely overcome. Epstein-Barr virus or Candida albicans fungus are examples of possible prior infections. Nutritional deficiencies could be another cause of fibromyalgia, explaining why minerals like magnesium and zinc are beneficial for and commonly used in treatmenting fibromyalgia. Vitamin supplementation is suggested to any that suffer from fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia: Fibromyalgia, once called fibrositis, is a condition affecting the muscles or joints that is often difficult to diagnose. It is one of a group of conditions with vague symptoms and may need to be distinguished from chronic fatigue syndrome, lupus, Type 2 diabetes, depression, Lyme disease, multiple sclerosis, or various other conditions. Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome share many common characteristics, and may be misdiagnosed as each other, or both misdiagnosed as depression.

Fibromyalgia: Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and multiple tender points. "Tender points" refers to tenderness that occurs in precise, localized areas, particularly in the neck, spine, shoulders, and hips. People with this syndrome may also experience sleep disturbances, morning stiffness, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, and other symptoms.1

I am not a Christian nor a believer in God, but I believe that a lot of these answers hit the mark. The concepts of Heaven and Hell are for whole people. A person goes to either Heaven or Hell, but cannot half go to one and half to the other. While multiple personalities are typically seen as fully developed "people" contained within the same body - but it is accepted that these personalities have been created by the same mind. No matter how many personalities a person may have, they have all come from the same mind - thus, the person is still one person. As many people have mentioned too, when a person is judged by God, they are restored to their full human health, removing any disorders (including multiple personalities) from the brain or psyche. The other thing to consider is that many Christians believe multiple personalities to actually be demon possession, in which case the demons would go to hell and the person would be judged for him or herself, without the interference of the "demons".

Four very good references with lots of info and advice are:
Encyclopeida of Natural Medicine - Murray and Pizzorno
Prescription for Natural Cures - Balch and Stengler
Digestive Wellness - Elizabeth Lipski
The Miracle of Magnesium - Carolyn Dean
A little study of any of these excellent books will pay you big dividends.
Good luck

There is a Fibromyalgia support group on WebMD : http://boards.webmd.com/webx?50@541.bylPapiz1Eg.28@.5987f42a, but be a bit skeptical, lots of "weird stuff" there too.
From my own experience - Ultram (Tramadol) is the only medication that helps me.
