I must record two books as "Best" reading of this year (so far....year is yet to finish, and there are certainly chances of great reading ahead...). One "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden which surely a treat for reading.....and second is "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown which is a kind of unputdownable......both are superb and must for every reader.

I would have to recommend The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. Its a very funny inventive original read, if you like that then try the others as they just keep getting better and better just don't read it on a bus or train like I did and burst out laughing with a train packed full of people thinking I was insane. Well worth it though, such a great, great read

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. As enthralling as the Da Vinci Code.

1984 by George Orwell. It's one of those that you think you know but until you've actually read it you don't understand how profound it is. A truly brilliant novel. I mean, we all know about "room 101" or "Big brother is watching you" or the phrase "The Thought Police" but he ACTUALLY THOUGHT THESE THINGS UP. Wow.
