I know it comes apart but I can't figure out how without bending it badly.

Hmmm. Odd. Should be pretty clear -- just look for screws and unscrew them. Most seats are held on by screws SOMEWHERE! At least that is what I have always found. Sometimes they are hidden deep in drilled holes of the frame. Hope you get it apart!

Some chairs of that type are held together useing a notch and wedge. If you are absolutely sure there is no screws, gently tap the bottom of the seat near a leg, and see if it starts to come out. If it does, continue with the joints you want apart, ensuring that you remove it evenly. example: If you are removing the back, alternate between left and right joints so it does not bind.
