Wow... with his car being there it makes it real interesting> Could be...
- he got arrested
- he died
- he flew off to some foreign country to evade the Bounty Hunter
Has to be something that fits the situation. He hasn't been around to use his car and he's not coming back anytime soon. And the people know it. You've got to let us know when you find out!

Husband is bi-polar and got so "up" during his "up" cycle that he decided to run home after he was at the gym and didn't bother to drive his car. Then got on his "down" cycle so he could not do the Monday a.m. class--he's in bed wishing it all would end.
Wife has to be the one to keep things together so she does her routine.
Mom is getting coffee mugs because a "good cup of coffee in one of his own mugs" is the only thing her son will live for.

I could be reasonable, but where's the fun in that?
Ever see The Unit, a Tv show about guys who lead normal lives but are actually crack anti-terror specialists, who lead double lives? Well......this guy is actually the caterer to that show, and they have been filming overseas. He was called upon to provide food since no one makes a better southwest turkey wrap than him, and the studio flew him out. Of course, they are filiming the cliffhanger season ending episode at this point, so he is not allowed to divulge where he is going, and since his wife works for a spoiler website, he has had to remain covert as part of the non-disclosure agreement he signed when he got the catering contract.
What? You thought I was gonna say he was one of those double life anti-terror guys in real life? No way. But I am. GTG, we're firebombing a suspected al Quaeda traning facility. It's disguised as a Taco Bell in the mountains of Pakistan. Seriously, we caught on that it wasn't legit when some of our guys ate there and DIDN'T get sick afterward. It can't be a real Taco Bell!

He has found a new love and does not want a scene in the health club when telling his wife. Sends his mother to collect his belongs while wife is busy with class. Sounds like he is such a nice guy, to send his mother to do his dirty business. I would think that you will much better off without the a**hole.

Husband and wife went out the other night in one car. Left his car at the club. Husband got drunk so they did not stop by to pick up the car. He is now sick at home and wants his coffee mugs.
Are you sure it wasn't his mother-in-law?
In that case... husband is schtooping mother-in-law. She comes by for his stuff and avoids wife while she is teaching. Hubby obviously can't have his car at "Mrs. Robinson's" so he leaves his car at the club. Mother-in-law sneaks in quickly, grabs his personal effects and the returns to her place where more schtooping occurs.

He strained his pecs while flexing for the gay Health Inspector and is in the hospital in severe pain. His mom was getting his favorite mugs because she wants to make him some hot soup and also because they have motivational saying on them (one has a cartoon of Tony Little saying 'You can dooooooo it!).
