Several. There was a fake documentary made that supported the stories behind the Blair Witch, there was an internet site that also spread the stories, people on the net spread the rumors about the disappearances, "missing" posters were posted around film festivals, etc. The campaign behind Blair Witch is a brilliant example of guerilla/viral marketing.

they passed it off as being real, based lightly on the Bell witch legend.
It was boring to say the least

That it was a true story,but it really was all just 100% FAKE.those movie people laughed themselves all the way to the bank.

the press ( and people getting sick - which was the original story that was picked up ) ( so you should jiggle the camera a lot and if enough people puke you will be rich )
