Traditionally, unions almost always support the democratic party.
This is an outdated practice since most unions have come to be major lobbying groups these days, throwing money away just to be recognized. Union leaders have become corrupted by the amount of money they earn, all the way down to the union representative level. I'm afraid the issues about labor laws and fair wages have become a thing of the past and that it's all about politics and trying to skew the curve of support. To be realistic, it's the Republican party who promotes business investment and the ability for unions to be placed in the work force in the nnumbers needed to carry on the industry at a level needed to ssupport legal American workers.

I don’t know the race or the politics in your area, I can say the union I belong to does not align it’s self with a party and chooses to endorse based on past voting history and of course campaign promises for new candidates. We have supported our fair share of republicans but generally speaking democrats tend to support worker rights more often than their republican counterparts.

If we were to use the British designation. Democrats would be Labor and Republicans would be Conservatives (Capitalists). Their line of demarcation is much clearer than ours. The parties in this country shroud their true sympathies and appear to appeal to all. Typical American deceptiveness.

That is because anyone who NEEDS a union to tell them what to do is too brain dead to think for themselves. Brandholm sure hasn't helped the working man any.
