If the question is do you like (baby name, type of food, red kites?) Do you assume the asker does also & answer as such? (ex. If you like that you suck!) Or if the question is what would you do in "this situation" do you assume asker is going thru something similar to what they ask of you?

Sometimes now if they say my friend has this or that problem, then I am sure it is them!

I assume the asker is simply asking for someone else. Then I make no judgement but give my honest opinion. ((which really MY judgement should mean nothing to people I don't know anyway))

Mostly yes... but somehow I can feel the difference between a genuine concern and sheer curiosity. Like in this case, from your Question I have a strong feeling that YOU are genuinely concerned.
