You are meant to yes, but I'm not often ill so I don't know. I have really wierd and random dreams all the time. Right now I keep having dreams that I'm meant to be looking after a baby but i get ill and keep throwing up, I have no idea what it means! I've had that one for about three nights in a row. Before that I dreamt I was with an old friend who I haven't seen in years and he was asking me if I've dumped my boyfriend yet and I kept saying soon. But I have no plans at all to dump him so I don't know what that ones about either! I guess it could be stress or something?

Sometimes, but when I am not sick I have fighting dreams. I beat the crap out of people who are annoying me. Sometimes I actually swing a fist while I'm dreaming. I punched my husband in the face a few nights ago. He said I didn't hit too hard though. I scared the crap out of him the one time. I was dreaming that I was caring for someone and discovered they had a blood clot in their leg(I'm a nurse) and I had him awake(while I was sleeping) telling him he had a blood clot and not to move and everything else. I had him really believing that he had a blood clot. He didn't realize I was dreaming until I laid back down and quit telling him crap.

Yes, fevers can induce vivid dreams. Depending on what you mean by 'illness', people with mental disorders such as severe depression can also have intense and vivid dreams which may possibly be linked with the causes for their condition. Medications taken for various illnesses may also affect dreaming.

Yes when I had ear ache as a child I used to dream that there was a giant ostrich kicking eggs, when the eggs rolled over that was what made the clicking and pain in my ear!!! Weird. I also used to dream about a plane made of cannonballs falling out of the sky.

Yes... when I'm sick I almost always have very unusual and vivid dreams. Especially when I have a fever, but I've had strange dreams when sick even without one.

Supposedly everybody dreams every night if they get in at least 4 hours, however, most of the time you don't remember unless it wakes you like in a nightmare.
