Ovulation:when to have intercourse?

Hi.I had my period on 15th September and my cicle is 30-34days.
I think i ovulated on 1st October.I did not do the test but the white egg liquid came out,that's why i say i THINK i ovulate.If i did had my ovulation on that day then when is the right day to have intercourse to get pregnat?For how lond can the egg survive?

hi,if ur Period every 30 days u will be ovulating on the day 16 not 14 and ur ov. supposed to be on sep29 i'll tell u how did i get the 16 ( ur cycle length 30days minus the luteal phase 14 days equal 16) and this is ur ov.day this is if u have ur period every 30 days.if its 31 days(31-14=17) and u do it this way.and i'll tell u about sumthin u can download it it will help u a lot.its the ovulation calendar just download it and it will help u a lottt with ur ov.day u just type in the information they need.and if u need any question just send me an email. The best days for having sex are the two days prior to ovulation and the day of ovulation. You only have a 24 hour window once the egg is released. Sperm generally live 2 days, but can live up to 5 days, so it's best to have sex prior to ovulation because the sperm has to fertilize the egg in the fallopian tube otherwise the egg won't implant when it reaches the uterus. If you saw ewcm yesterday, then make sure you have sex asap. Keep having sex for the next few days as well. Good luck!

If the first day of your period was the 15th September and its a 30 day cycle, you will be ovulating around the 29th of september. Its always mid cycle and you would usually only ovulate for a 2 day period. Count from the first day of your last period. If this correct, you should be due another period on the 14th of october, which means you will ovulate in that month on the 28th of October. Hope this helps.

I usually feel hornier around ovulation and I have more discharges as well. Sperm can survive up to 5 days in your body and women ovulate 14 days before their period is due.

So assuming your cycle is 30 days, your next period would be 15th Oct. Meaning, ovulation on 2nd. So, probably good to have sex from 1-3rd October :)

If your cycle is 34 days, next period would be 19th Oct. Ovulation 5th October. Best to do it 4-6th October.

Usually the egg is flushed out of the body within 24 hours of its release.

you are best having regular intercourse if you are trying to conceive.
Every 3 days or so - maybe - try using an ovulation test strip which is used in the same way as a HCG pregnancy test, to see whan you are ovulating!

get yourself a thermometer and take your temperature every morning before getting out of bed. get a diary and write the temperature in everyday and watch for a pattern of it rising for a few days a month. this is when you ovulate and you can get your timings right from that. it worked for me and my hubby after a year of trying and we now have a gorgeous 2 year old daughter! we're going to start trying again after our holiday in november and i'll have my thermometer to hand from the start this time!

If you have ovulated you get approx 36 hours to have sex with the highest chance of becoming pregnant. Generally though they say to have sex approx every other day if you are trying to become pregnant.
