I'm a guy, and I have very light hair above the area where I shave (i.e. on my upper cheeks). How the heck do I get rid of that? I tried plucking it, but it takes FOREVER to do that. I just want it all to go away.

EDIT: Waxing...can anyone suggest a good waxing kit I can purchase from the store?

And I'm not shaving it because otherwise it'll grow in just like all the other hair (thick and sharp)...that doesn't seem like a smart idea IMHO.

Try a razor. idiot.

Shaving DOES NOT affect the characteristics of the hair that grows back. It WILL NOT grow back thicker, darker, etc. That is a senseless old wives' tale. Your hair does not know it's been cut, how could it change?

If the hair is soft enough, try Sally Hansen's facial hair remover cream. You put it on kinda thick and then about 10 minutes later, wipe it off with a warm, wet washcloth. The hair just wipes away. If it's too course, it may not work. It only costs a few dollars so it's worth a try. Much less painful than waxing or plucking and it won't leave stubble like shaving. Just be very careful if it's close to your eyes and follow the instructions in the box.

If it is hair you don't ever want coming back, check around and see if any local physicians do electrolysis. It can be a little costly depending on the doctor, the amount you want do and number of treatments required to achieve the desired result. You could also try waxing or hair removal creams that are specifically for the face. Don't use the hair removers for arms and legs because the face is much more sensitive than other areas.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are
temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

Have you ever tried to get it waxed @ a hair salon ?

I know some guys are to embarrassed to do this, but
sometimes you have to go the extra length to look your
best. ( If you shave it, as you know it will only get worse)

Get it waxed, that should help a lot and it doesnt hurt near as bad as you might think, and it lasts a long time before it grows back. Hope this helps.

Why don't you get a small eyebrow razor. Those are small and have a sharp blade, to reach all of those hard to reach places they work beatifuly.

Wax it or shave it and if it doesn't work: burn it with laser.
