what would happen if i dropped an ipod to two and a half feet from the air to a carpeted floor(im getting an ipod video andi herd that they were very fragile

I got an idea why don't u try dropping yourself on a carpeted floor and see what happens! It might be interesting. lol

It would be safe, if it were say a marble floor or concrete, then I'd say it'd be somewhat scratched, but it shouldn't be damaged too badly.

They make silicone skins that you can slip over it. They come in several colors and that might make it more resiliant to bumps and bruises
