Nope. The Republicans do not have that much power. Do you really believe they can affect the GLOBAL price of gas, just so they can get re-elected?

Neither President Bush nor the Republican Party control the price of fuel. You might try researching oil production and cost structure before making accusations. This is an excellent site to start with http://www.howstuffworks.com/gas-price.htm.

Well, a lot of people are simple minded and idiotic enough to believe that one man can control gas prices for his own political benefit. Well a lot of people are always mad at the President, accusing him of doing things that he couldn't possibly do. Well I think that with some people it goes beyond just thinking the president can manipulate things for his own pleasure; now they're thinking that the whole party has this kind of power. Well If that's the case, shouldn't they become Republicans? Well I think simple people like this need the Republican party in power to ensure that the U.S. doesn't get sold to a villain for a bag of seeds! IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just another conspiracy theory democrat with gas pains trying to link the price of gasoline to republicans. We are pro business, not for price fixing and NO Bush does not call his buddies at Exxon or where ever to say "hey buddy, we need gasoline to drop by $1.00 before the elections."
