I have been married for a year, to a sweet man. We are both in our fourties, and on our 2nd marriage. We lived together for about 5 yrs before we got married. We totally love each other, but it seems like there is not much interest sexually(mostly on his part), and neither one of us are cheaters, I know that for a fact. Do you think it is because we got married? I haven't gained weight or changed anything.

Hard to say. Is he under stress at work or home? Is he really out of shape, that will decrease your sex drive. Maybe he's getting ED and he's embarassed. Or maybe its that whole "who wants to eat the same cereal for breakfast every morning" argument (it's not my argument, so don't yell at me, I'm just bringing it up. My wife and I have been married and we average having sex 7 times a week, just like we did when we were 19 so no it is not required that your sex life change.

Yes, Marriage does change things but given the question did the relationship changed from living together for 5 years? I sure that it is more to do with a rut. Best thing to do is try to find something different to break the rut cycle. You can plan a special evening and if you are on your second marriage then its very important to keep the lines open and not let things buildup. Have fun and enjoy each other.

Yes. Marriage absolutely changes things! Most people get way too complacent after getting married and start slowing down sexually because they don't feel like they need to keep that going, even though it's still an important part of the relationship equation.
I don't know why this happens, though I wish it didn't.

Yeah...I think marriage does change everything. Especially after the first 4 or 5 years. I've seen it happen with a lot of people...and it's one of the reasons why I never ever want to get married.

No its not because you got married he just may want a little more excitement and want to try something new. Some people get tired of doing the same thing over and over again but if you change it up there is something to look forward to. Wear something sexy try something different anything will help.

Familiarity does that to people. Stress as well. Having sex with the same person for so long can just make you bored. Spice things up a bit.

I think it is the thrill of the chase and the mystery that exists between the sexes. Samo/somo kills the spirit.

He got old. some guys don't have any interest in sex when they get in their 40's. And it is possible it changed just from having you all to himself. He got comfortable.
