I did my own as well. I purchased a "kit" from Office Max for around $30, 7 years ago. Our court costs were $300. I had to pay half of that at the time of filing the papers. The other half was due the day of the hearing. In Ohio you pay per "page" of the document and I had to file about 10 pages. Reason is, there was a house and other assets that had to be distributed. I would think that yours would be substantially less.

Depends on where you live. If you are in the United States, go to your local court house and check with the County Clerk's office. She can give you the paper work to file the divorce yourself since you have no kids and no property to divide and she can also tell you how much it will cost.

Good luck with that. I just filed my own and things went very smoothly.

Been there did that! The filing fee in our county is $125.00. The papers are mere fill in forms when there is no property and no kids. Check your county website, they may have samples - or - check on another county in your state, they're basically the same wording. Good luck! Sorry about your loss.

Not Contested... About $550 to $750 depending on where you're at, Attorney Fees, Court Costs, etc. Good Luck! Happy Divorce (best thing that I ever did, but took me too long to actually go through with it)...

Non-contested divorce with no kids and no property can be done by you for just filing fees.

It depends upon the state in which you'd be filing. Different states have different filing requirements and fees - and one state, New York, requires grounds as well as establishment of residence.
