He should issue a public apology, be forced to sit out some games, and pay a fine. He probably should take some anger management on his own.

First off - that was 100% uncalled for and an act of criminality. The man should be brough up on assault charges. This was not a football penalty, but a crime. He stomps on the guys head almost gouging out an eye! Why not just hit him in the face with a beer bottle - plus Haynesworth is like 300lbs! I'm suprised Gurode's face was still in tact. He could've ended that guy's career right there.
Regardless, if the cops don't put him in jail for at least 6months, the nfl should kick him out for at least 6 games - or better yet the season. Let him think about it while he's not getting a paycheck. It's hard to maintain 300lbs with no food.

Regardless if he didn't mean it, the deed is done and he should be punished to the fullest extent of Pro Football rules. Kids look up to these professional players and if they see acts of agression like that, it will be carried over to the playground or cafeteria. They'll remember how he solved his problem and think it's okay. But he'll probably just be "slapped on the wrist" and sent back out. But what about that other players injuries? It's not right what he did, this is why I don't watch football. The players think they could get away with anything, they're just a bunch a steroid-pumped Neanderthals who will do anything to win including hurting other players with the intention of taking them out of the game by any means neccesary. I feel he should be kicked off the team and fined an enormous amount of money and do community service and explain why he did what he did to children. That will make any player think twice before pulling a stunt like that again.

one year suspension, I view what he did as being no different than Donald Brashear did in the NHL when he intentionally hit the opposing player in the back of the head with his stick which earned him a one year ban. Though he has come out and publicly apologized what he did was malicious and dangerous and must not go unpunished, or even underpunished.

I think we should let Andre kick him back. But a few people ought to be holding him down while this is being done.

They should suspend him for the rest of the season, if not indefinitely. There's no reason for that sort of thing to take place. That was malicious. As much as I hate Dallas... that was just wrong.

He should have been arrested and charged with Assault. You or I would have been if not on a football field. That kind of violent behavior should not tolerated and should be handled just as any of us would be. It is criminal to attack another person like that and just because it was on a NFL field should make no difference.

He should be sent to anger management classes, fined and kept from the league for 1 year. I think its time to crack down on the goons allowed to play football...i mean seriously!

All pay forfeited and banished for life. Then turn him over to the courts and let him stew in prison for a couple of years.
It was criminal assult, plain and simple.
