Um, tell him some boy asked you a question and you want the answer from him because you trust him.

Make it easy on him.

Asking your praents the big "what's sex" question is hard no matter what. If you honestly want the answer just ask, but the best time to ask is probably when its just you and him. Out of curiousity though...why only ask your dad? why not both parents?

Anyways, you can always "lead" the conversation to it, and that will give you an opening to ask.

I'm pretty sure he knows.
Is it possible that you don't know how to ask a question ??
Did you mean "how do I ask my Dad about sex" ?

Your mother or a mature female friend or school counselor would be less embarrassing for you and him. There are books available, too.
