A direct flight takes 45 minutes.

A coach will take you over to IGOUMENITSA on the ferry (1 1/2 hours) then down the west of Greece to Antirio and on another ferry (20 minutes) or over the new bridge to Rio and on to Athens. It takes about 10 hours including the ferry. (If you hire a car and drive yourself, it will take about 7-8 hours)

Or get the ferry from Corfu to Patras (about 6 hours) and then a coach from Patras to Athens (about 3 hours).

PS I live in Athens and am from Corfu and go there often.

Yes you can travel from Corfu to athens. I love Corfu!!!The island of Corfu is linked with the international airport of Athens. The flying time from Athens to Corfu is approximately 50 minutes and at least three daily flights are available to Athens.

Most of the international flights to Corfu Greece first arrive in Athens and then allow the connection to Corfu Island.
During summer, many charters are flying to the island directly from various cities of Europe.

The island of Corfu can also be reached from the town of Thessaloniki, in the north of Greece; Flights Corfu to Thessaloniki are available every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

By plane, approx. 45 mins + 1/2 hour at the airport before the flight.
By bus, approx. 10 hours, including the crossing from Corfu to Igoumenitsa.
By car, approx. 7 hours, provided you do not have a traffic jam at the bridge of Rion-Antirrion.

Good luck!
