Hi! friends. I like this programme very much and I have participated in this one since July and i earned 1585 points already. i tried and tried to get more points and to be a best answerer. but, last week, there was something wrong with my computer. so, i sent it to a service center. i don't know what they did with it but when i got it back and open this programme to participate, all the points i earned had gone and i became a new entry again. so, i was really depressed as i tried very much and spent most of my time in this page. it's like pouring water into the sand. so, i decided not to spend my time in this page again but just do my lessons and concentrate in it. SO, GOODBYE, FRIENDS. AND IF THERE ARE ANY PARTING WORDS FOR ME, WARMLY WELCOME.

Are you serious? I doubt it and I think you are laughing.
You cannot lose points, no matter which computer you log in, the point are always here, and its not money, its just an ego thing.
Is your ego that high?
Then create more accounts, answer your own questions and vote yourself as best answer, that's how many people are doing it.
Because 70-80% of best answers is no longer realistic.

Same happened to me when I started on here. Luckily I only had a few points at that stage. But I didnt have computer problems, I think it was at the yahoo.answers end.

Life is a fickle thing and the internet even more so, all castles made of sand fall in the sea eventually.

Good bye and good luck. You're life will be better for leaving!

In simplest words of all.....Don't do like that friend. Such kinds of ups and downs are part and parcel of the life itself. And I dont think obtaining as many marks or levels in Yahoo Q&A should be the sole purpose of signing in. One can enjoy simply watching the questions and answers without taking active participation. Sometime, I just sit before computer and keep myself reading the answers only....like I was doing with your questions. But after reading all these caring answers for giving you encouragement, I thought I must submit my saying too. So, in short, don't give up. This is really a fantastic platform.

Bad things happen all of the time. That is no reason to give up. Just imagine if we all gave up every time something bad happened to us. We would all be in a world of hurt. We are here to give advice whether it be right or wrong. It shouldn't be about the points, but trying to help someone in need. If the points are an interest to you, buckle up and start answering some questions again. Build them points back up.

Come on, so a glitch gotcha. No big deal. Don't worry about how fast you gather points, just drop in for only a few minutes every day. That way it won't be an obsession and you can still have fun with it. You will be surprised, you will gather points and best answers , your points will add up, just maybe not so fast but why does that matter? Don't quit, You would be missed.

It's frustrating and sad that you lost your points when your computer went down. This site is just for fun. You didn't loose anything to valuable. Working on school now is a very good idea and maybe you can make a little time for this site on the weekends. Just have fun with it and don't worry about the points.

If you had that many points, then obviously you had some really good answers to peoples questions. Don't look at it like a game that you can win, look at it like a fun pass time and you are helping people in the process! Don't quit! The point system is over rated anyway....just have fun!!

Huh? Isn't our points are stored in our Yahoo accounts not in our computer? How come you get into level 1 again?! That doesn't make sense.

And, yeah you can earn the points again so don't go anywhere if you really like this place.

That is no reason to give up and I am sure all you need to do is write yahoo a note to see how to fix the problem. Even if it is irreversible you can get those points back up in no time.

The points are not stored on your computer.

They are on the yahoo server.

You must have logged in incorrectly. or created a new log in account.
I use many computers to answer questions and the points are all the same.
