If not why are these Christianofascists encouraging their 10year olds to do just that at their Jesus camps.

Look if you dare what these dangerous fundamentalists are doing to the children. Talk about Islam.

Yahoo member "43" has brought this up before. Compared it to Nazi youth camps. Hence the moniker "Bushler".

I blogged on this yesterday with a bunch of links.

It goes a lot deeper than that. They teach the children to hate by throwing stuff at cardboard cutouts of Clinton and Gore. I don't remember hate being a Christian virtue, but I do remember somthing about worshipping false idols.

They also talk about wanting children to be willing to "lay down their lives" like the Palestinians. Sick bastards...

The only way I would worship a cardboard cut out of George Bush, is if I ever started to believe that stupidity, immorality, and arrogance were synonymous with divinity. Since I think more highly of the divine that will never happen.

As far as kids paying homage to Bush at Christian oriented organizations, all I can say is that is detestable. Hopefully, these well meaning kids will be curious enough to actually open up their Bible and read it, something that their adult mentors apparently haven’t done. Then they will see that the Jesus of the Bible doesn’t resemble Bush in anyway shape or form, and that his teachings are in direct contradiction to Bush’s militancy.

That was a very poorly edited video. It looked like something was going on that wasn't.

I have heard one of the camp organizers describe that scene. The kids were praying "for" GWB not "to" him. They are a "charismatic" church that reach out and touch the person they are praying for. Obviously, Bush wasn't there so the cardboard cut-out was used instead.

No more complicated than that.

What is your source for this comment?

A true Christian would never encourage worship of any person other than Jesus.

Again you don't know what you are talking about.I don't support or approve of the camp but let's at least stick to facts. They were praying for Bush not to him.

I would not worship A cardboard cut-out of Bush if it was lined in 24k gold!!!
I would sell and make money off it so someone who gave a hoot about him could do what they please with it.

You seem very ignorant and misinformed. Why did you not give more information?
I doubt that anyone, even you, would worship a cardboard image! That is unless it is of yourself!!!
