in a way, yes, because it takes away a lot of peoples from having the fun that you don'tneed teh internet, like, say for instance, playing a game of basket ball or drawing on the concrete with chalk.

Another downer is that a lot of pplz go to chat rooms and there can be sexual predators- and if you give even the SLIGHTEST info of what school you go to- anything, really, they can track you down and find you.

I think practically the only things that the internet has made life easier is: 1) communication(ie, email, skype, etc) 20 games & entertainment, & 3) research. not to mention buisness sites.

there is also a lot of porn on many sites that can be easily reached by your kids (if you have any) if they type in the correct key words on google. Yes, ON GOOGLE. it has alot more complications... tehre are just too many to list.

My husband thinks so! He has tunnel vision as far as the Internet is concerned.

My view is that it has it's place in modern society, but it is by no means the end all and be all as some people believe. And yes people do make it a complicated place to be but not the otherway round.

all technology has made life more complicated (especially interpersonal dynamics) Like when people communicate via instant message.. its in real time like speaking on the phone- but when things are written there is too much to read into (no voice inflection to show how something is meant)
... while the internet has put so much at our fingertips that was not there before, it has also secured a strangle-hold on our lives...

its become one of those things ur so used to u feel lost when its not there...

for eg...ive had a bad internet connection all week last week...and today...( at work ) and every now and then, it just goes off for hours at a time...and i dont know what to do...cant check email, cant answer ur stupid questions, all i can do is my work...

i cant even tell the IT guy, imagine he checks why im so needy of the internet, he'll know what i do all day everyday....(definately not work).....

internet is fun...not complicated....yeh..it has taken away peoples social time...but many ppl seem to network by means of these friend sites...

..but anyway i will continue to use it every day...

No. If there is something I don't know or understand, It is very easy to find out. If anything, the Internet has made life more interesting.

Life has always been complicated. The internet has just spread that complication into hyperreality. Have fun!

Speaking from personal experience,I would say yes, especially if you choose to engage in general 'net talk' or get involved with people online in one way or another.Balancing this with your real life can sometimes be quite difficult. On a more general point, the sheer volume of information available can be quite overwhelming, and finding what you want can be time consuming.

Hell Ya!
Try searching for anything and you'll find 4 billion possible pages every time?
However, I still continue to use it everyday. It's become one of those modern day necessities, like a mobile phone.
Would like to live without it, but can't.

Not necessarily complicated but the task itself can be time-consuming and somewhat confusing!
