Okay, this is kind of a strange question. Do you mean that one is already on broadband and you wish to hook the second one up to it? If this is the case, then you need to have a NIC (Network Interface Card) in the second computer. You will need to run a CAT5 cable from that computer to a router that is hooked up to the broadband modem for each computer. If you do not have broadband yet, then you need to get either DSL or a CableSystem connection for yoour home. Verizon DSL costs $34.95 per month and Roadrunner from Time Warner is around $75.00 per month. Cable is the faster route, but DSL is no slouch compared to dial-up. Some dial-up providers offer a multiple line connection for faster service, but they are like $18.00 per extra line per month on top of your dial up normal costs, and are conciderably slow. The best place to find the prices for the NIC and Router as well as cables and anything else you may need is at http://www.pricewatch.com Remember that you do not need a wireless router unless you do not want to run cables, and then you will need to get matching wireless connections for the computer that will be remote. USB is the easiest route for a wireless connector as you do not need to open the computer, install it, then configure it. It is nearly effortless, but will cost more. Hope this helps.

If you already have one computer on broadband, you can create a local area network between your two computers, so both can access the internet over the same line. All you need is a small router and possibly a hub, or a wirelss card if such is not already integrated in your equipment. I'm sure your ISP or your local PC dealer can advise you on how to set this up.

call your local broadband company they will come hook it all up for you. the best buy circuit city idea is ok if you know what your doing as far as hooking everything up but if you dont even the simplist thing can b hard I tried to hook the router up myself from my pc to laptop and it was a mess And all I was suppose to do was download this disk didnt work out that way. Leave it to a professional and it will be less of a headache later. So all you need to do is find out who your local broadband company is. call em up and make a appointment. Good luck.
