A girl, sets her mind in herself, leaving all worldly expectations aside, believing in eternal truths & philosophy.
This she had to do as she knew very well, not a single emotional craving of her can be reciprocated in this world, in this temporary life.
but she has a physical existence too, which has its own demands, which is disturbing her now & then to her roots.
Should she neglect that physical demand & stick to her old principle, or should she stake her emotional security to reach a more matured total existence ?
If the last one is chosen, there is 100% possiblity to lose all those equlibrium which she has built up by drops of heartbleeds.
Plz suggets which is better for her ?

only she can tell, the way of belief versus physical gratification is a personal choice not one that we can help with on the internet.

Do what you feel is best for you, if it is wrong you, can always revert, it won't be the end of the world only a temporary setback.

good luck, ;) H

There is a great mis-understanding that a person has to choose between going after eternal truths , philosophy or the routine life !
No need to choose. It is very much possible to have both !
In fact if the pursuit of spirituality is on a right track, the handling of routine life is very easy, simple and joyous ( irrespective of how or what the situation is !).
May be some practices are needed to get into the right track of spirituality (though not absolutely necessary !), to just speed up the possibility, and for this a little time is to be devoted from the routine. This too is easily possible, and such time spent, pays for more than invested !

Most of the response but for an exceptional one come from male chauvinists. Even if we grant that women have established a balance in society by her submission has the society responded in kind. In fact it tends to make more and more demands on her.in the processing blackening her soul. If you lose you soul what have you gained. All this talk of making sacrifices is one sided: it has to come from the incarnation of sacrifice. Woman ownes it to herself and also the society to assert herself. The Durga must begin the dance and never mind the Shankar is tr ampled beheath her feet.He would leant the lesson of Thus far and no further. If one wheel of a two wheeler refuses to turn but just be dragged by the other the net result would be that the vehicle would not run at all.Her fear that the vehicle would go out of control by the additional speed is ill founded. When one wheel (the male wheel) does not believe running in unison she alone cannot run the vehicle smoothely. If not for anything but for running the vehicle smoothly she has to take the initiative.

I am afraid you got it wrong when you said spiritual life can be perfected only by neglecting the demands of the physical body. A yogi, has said that i perfected my body, for that is the abode of my soul. All the physical needs have to be given their due share at the appropriate time. If the physical impulses are not cared for, at a later point of time, when you feel that you have attained the highest point in spiritual experience, the unsatiated physical desire will show up its ugly face. The best way to deal with the physical desire and the impulse is to throw the crumbs that they require at the relevant time.

Everyone is both mind and soul. But there is no limit where the one stops and the other starts in ones existence. It is not salvation or ethics to neglect your material self i believe.I think that the best is to live and behave with certain standards and limits. Everything in the right quantity is best. It is like a medicine the right dose can cure you an overdose can kill you

I appreciate your concern! Although it is something to be tackled at personnel level as individual mind set differs from person to person. I feel, one should not try to supress the emotional desires which is something like suppressing a disease by strong medication which has the possibility to recur at a slightest opportunity. One has to experience such emotional desires but at the same time keep on analysing its effect and impact on body and mind with the determination to divert the mind from getting into it with lust and greed! At one point Bhagvan Srikrishna shows his ultimate form (VIRAT) to Arjun which has in it both component of good and bad (devil and angel spirits) but in the middle of them exists the NIRGUN swarup which is not attached either to good or bad which is Godly. What is needed for a sadhak is not suppressing the emotions but overcoming those emotions!

Look at like a physics problem. There are many steady states at different energy levels. The question is, what are you willing to give up to attain it.

There are some urges in life, called Dynamics :
The first dynamic is the urge to existing as self, as a body. 2nd is the urge to exist as a family ;3rd as a team ; 4th as Mankind ; 5th as taking responsibility for animals and plants ; 6th as preserving matter; 7th as a spiritual being and 8th as the infinity! (LRH).
So, all 8 must exist equally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got it ?
