My little girl has always been a pretty good sleeper at night, at 1 mth she slept from around 9pm until 3:30am, I'd nurse her back to sleep until around 6am, nurse her to sleep again until 8am. After that she'd never sleep in a block larger than an hour and was awake most of the day, but it sure was nice knowing I had my evenings free to relax. At 2 mths she could sleep in an 8hr block without waking, but it took until 6 mths to reach the glorious 10+ hrs. I've heard of babies sleeping in 10hr blocks at just a few mths old, but I still feel fortunate with my girl. Especially for a nursing mom, I guess some are STILL waking up every night two or three times asking to be nursed (she's 11mths now).

Sweet dreams to all of you!

I don't have a baby, not yet. BUt I raised Crawfish back at Pearl City, and I used to sleep with some of them. It took about a month for them to sleep the whole night. I'm sure it's about the same for a human baby.

My youngest has slept through the night since that day that he was born except for one night when he had an ear infection (by through the night I mean we put him to bed at nine thirty and he gets up at about six thirty). He is three months now. My oldest two were both about two months before they slept through the night.

Mine still isn't sleeping through the night, and he's 10 months old! We're exhausted.. :-) He's lovely, just doesn't sleep.

He slept through from 9wks but started waking again at 18wks.

I'm glad your baby is sleeping, it makes a difference, doesn't it? :-)
