I HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD SON AND WHEN HE WAS BORN, I WAS TOLD THAT HE COULD ONLY SEE BLACK/WHITE.

Newborns are colorblind. That's why so many toys for newborns are black white and red. They contrast very well. Otherwise the colors are very muddy looking and can't be made out by your baby's eyes. They say that if your newborn wore glasses they would be extremely thick.

They see all colors, but their eyes pick up and their brains reconize black, white and red the most for the first few months.
