I think he has done more for Australia, its animals and conservation, than what the Queen has done with anything, to deserve a state in her name?

Great idea, I love Steve. Great name. Seriously, he does deserve it. Although, I think Knighthood would be better. The Queen is important too.

Though I am A big fan of Steve but i think changing the name of Queensland is not a good idea. Of course he has done a lot for Australia but still changing the name would be very difficult. People might not like it and many people may forget to mention it by it's new name.

I think that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Steve was nothing but a showman. And really not a very entertaining one at that. His shows would have been much better without all his theatrics. I often wondered if he superglued his eyelids in that wide eyed position to keep that amazed look.
That Queensland isn't Queen's(Possessive), it's Queens(Plural) And England did have some impressive queens.

That's a bit much. Steve was a great guy but he never ruled a country. I'm sure he would be flattered by your suggestion but I don't think he would actually want to change Queensland's name.

That would be disrespectful to the history of that city in Australia, changing the name because of one person's death. And besides, few really did care about him until his death, which he could've prevented had he not been so insane.

oh don't be so stupid he was just a bloke making a living tormenting crocodiles and hypeing it for the damm camera...get over it ,and making the most bucks he could from the image he put out .
sad that he died but he was just doing his job

Get off the Irwin bandwagon. No one gave a flip about him until he died. He was a nut, not a hero.
