When I drive for a while in the high way and stop the car I have noticed it seems like boiling or flowing air in the coolant recuperation tank of the radiator ¿ what´s wrong , is it a normal situation?

honstly start with the cheap stuff-see if the seal on your radiator cap is gone ripped or rotted-then see if you have any hose leaks -after that move onto the thermostat-theres a simple way to check these-put it in a pan of water on the stove until its about to boil-water boils at 212degrees-the thermostat should open a few minutes before this because they are made to open at 160 -180 degrees-sometimes 200-if thats good see if your fan is comin on (if its electric)if its on the motor, well,we know thats good-if none of this is the problem flush the radiator out-it could be clogged up somewhere -just drain it and run strait water in it and repeat a few times untill no brown gunk is comin out any more-then check the heater core to see if its leaking-if it is you should have some water on your passenger floor board-not always but most of them are under the dash on the passenger side-if all this is good(by the way make sure your radiator is not leakin or all bent up on the fins)check your water pump-if it sqeals or grinds thats a good inclination its goin bad-best thing to do is take all the belts off the water pump pully and grab the shaft of the water pump and see if it moves side to side or up and down-it should not move at all-if it does the bearings bad in it and you need a new one-hope something here works fer ya

If your temperature is going up fast than it should i am sure your probem is a dirty radiator so less amount of water being cooled, also a pressure built up inside the radiator thus the overflow. In a clean radiator the water circulates properly to the engine block and back to the radiator to be cooled again. A dirty one will result in a bypass. Remeber in a sealed environment water will always seek the shortest way out and in a vehicle it's the recuperation tank.

Also you need to check on your temp sensors. Personally I think the temp sensors are useless. Why wait for a certain temperature level before the cooling fan turns on. I had mine removed and the cooling far wired direct so when i start the engine the cooling fan runs immediately. So far no problems.

BTW, maybe this is good for me since I am from a hot country.

When your engine heats up the coolant overflows into your recirculating tank instead of on the ground like it use to. If your temperature Gage is reading normal you have nothing to worry about. If you temp is high you need to replace your thermostat or your electric cooling fan is not working properly. See your owners manual for recommended temperature range for you thermostat. Good luck

car is overheating or just a bad radiator cap, But dont assume just a bad cap. Take it to your mechanic and get it checked out before you damage your engine from overheating.

You will need to replace you thermostat. The water is not running through the motor to cool it down.Or the electric fan motor is not working.
