I have never not felt lonely in a room full of people.

A room full of people is the "best" place to feel lonely, especially if you feel out of place or do not know anybody. The secret is to enjoy yourself and start speaking to others (who may also be feeling lonely) and if you still do not feel happy, then get up and leave.

I've never felt lonely alone, but often feel lonely in a room full of people - it's awful!

Yes, too often.

I work in an environmnet with about 25 other people. I've never felt as if I belong. I feel very lonely. Maybe it's my fault. But after trying to "get in" and not being welcomed (I haven't been rejected mind you, just not welcomed" I now don't even bother to try.

Yes I did. It was in my exboyfriend´s party .. despite I knew all his friends somehow I felt I didn´t belong there and I felt so lonely. I wasn´t interested in their conversations and I was bored and then I realised that I was with the wrong people because I was looking for different type of relationships or friendships...

Yup was a best man once and never knew anybody else at the wedding apart from the groom. Had to make the best man speech and never felt so alone even though I was surrounded by 200 people listening to my every word.

Yes mostly because a lot of people are shallow and think they are the bees knees they are just idiots if you are in a room and feel lonely one person must see it and come and speak to you and get to know the real you if not get some real friends
and leave that room

My life style has left me very alone. I have what are considered to be extremist views. I am a bit of a paradox. I regularly attend church and have a deep religious belief. My church is very family oriented. I don't exactly fit in. I"m divorced. My political views are also extreme, thus I'm at odds with most of the rest of the world. I am truly a square peg in a round world. I'm an extreme right wing radical who believes in the use of alternative fuels. I'm extremely family oriented and divorced. I be live in personal responsibility and am very concerned about charity. I don't think there is a politician alive who truly represents me. I think abortion is monstrous and that people have a responsibility to their children both born and unborn and yet to be concieved. I don't really fit in anywhere. I don't believe in being cruel to animals yet I eat them all the time and have not problem with that. They were fed and waterd and died quick. Next they tasted good. I don't fit in with the animal rights people and I don't fit in with the labratory testing people. I don't fit in at my own church, yet I believe in it very strongly. I'm just an odd ball.
