I agree. I don't appreciate it when people use God's name in vain. "Oh my God" is pretty much just a filler phrase that could easily be replaced by "Oh did you hear", "I can't believe it", "Wow", or any other phrase that we use to draw attention to or to accent something we are about to say. The phrase really isn't appropriate...and can be annoying.

individuals are raised in a nationalistic ecosystem. as a fashion to sell this nationalism, like maximum countries, we emphasize our solid factors, like how we are democratic (whilst in fact we are a Republic) and all the liberties we at the instant have. i don't probable understand the place you perceived the thought we expect of we are extra valuable, or no count in case you in simple terms asked this question out of spite, yet right this is the respond anyhow. traditionally, even nonetheless, Canada has continually been slightly in the back of; no count if or not it rather is nationwide westward enlargement, creation of the nationwide government, or maybe getting out from decrease than the colonization by potential of yet another united states of america.

Yes, I say "Oh my goodness". I imagine God is getting pretty fed up with it however. Most people don't realize it but they are using God's name in vain, but thats between Him and them. Personally I'm just tired of hearing it.

Yes.

I happen to be an American (who rarely ever, if not never, uses it), and it annoys me quite a bit, particularly if used as a response to something very mundane (as it is in a lot of cases).

Yup, I am. I don't believe we should take God's name in vain. Although I do say "Oh My Goodness" sometimes.

I AM! in more ways than one. it's contagious, too-- i start using it after talking to people who use it all the time but i always catch myself (or try to)-- i use "my doodness!" instead, if i can't help it.

on a personal note, I can't stand it when people use God's name in vain.

It might be so if the user thinks inside 'Oh my dog' and utters loud 'Oh my God'!

It makes me sick. So does the overuse of the word awesome.
