Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. No connection to Bin Laden. And he had nothing to do with 9/11. He was put into power, supplied weapons and backed by the US. And, while he commited his worse crimes against humanity he was actively defended by the USA - so why the hypocrisy?.

Because that was the whole point of the exercise.
They had to work hard to get a civil war going, and now they've got it they have what they think is a plausible excuse to stay there until they've sucked the last drop of oil out of Iraq.
It also gives them an ideal starting position to go for the next country on their list, Iran.

Bush wants to defend Isreal no matter what the cost to the American people. Bush is probable planning another genocide in Iran. We will force the Americans out of Iraq no matter what the cost. The country will be a burial ground for the American forces. Leave Iraq NOW!!!!!! We will do every thing to defend our freedom. We do not want to be ruled by 'axis of evil' or the American way of life. We only wanted to get rid of a tyrant and not accept another.

Why do you think we went there! For noble ideas! We went there for bases, airstrips and oil.

With American bases in Iraq, Iran is going to really have to watch nuclear wepons cause we will have a staging area and take them over next.
