it should be okay... the expiration date is sometimes used as last date of sale. The FDA has stated that many drugs are still good months after the suggested date of expiration since it's a marketing strategy to get people to replace their over-the-counter products. This includes prescription drugs, btw.

Yes it is ok. The dates they put on the bottle is to let you know that after that date they may not work as efficiently as they would if it were just produced. If it is not gone in 6 months from opening it then dispose of it.

Personally I wouldn't trust anything I put in my mouth if it has passed its expiry date.I don't know how medicines break down or alter over time so I would invest a couple dollars for a new bottle.It's your health suit yourself.

They have to date medicine but I do not think anything in PeptoBismol deteriorates. Take if if you cannot find anything better. I am not a great admirer of it.
