I think that even when you are married you should keep up on yourself, you shouldnt let yourself go in anyway. Appearance isnt what makes marriage work. You didnt want to marry that person because of how they look, and if you are doing it for that reason then you should really get a clue and realize that there is more to a person than physical appearance. Personality is one of the biggest reasons to commit to someone. Anyone can fall apart and get fat and ugly. So you shouldnt even be asking this question. I feel that appearance is not everything it is about who and what you are on the inside..A person can not help what they look like but they need to make sure that they are well groomed and clean because nobody wants a dirty person...It is within our self to figure out if we want to wake up beside someone every morning that we are not attracted to. It depends on the person also could you be able to look beyond the top layer of who a person is and look at the inside of a person..

Physical chemistry is key to a marriage. It is not the most important but it is needed. You have to be attracted to the person physically in order to enjoy intimacy for a lifetime. Of course, our looks do change over the years but your hearts knit together to love the wrinkles too.
You would sure hate to loose a spouse if they never felt the chemistry throughout your marriage.

It would bea lie to say that look does not matter. But looks can fade. It should be the compatability between partners and the inner self that between 2 people that has to "click". If looks is really what you are after, you have to understand that one fine day when you wake up beside your partner, would you still love her?

Appearance is what gets your eye at 1st but if that is all they got going for them you will be able to see that you really have to go deeper than just that.All different people like different things about their spouse so that one would depend on the person.
