I know you. Your eyes are not exactly alike and magnifying lenses without proper correction can lead to eye strain and headaches.

It is comon for people to have a different perscription in each eye. Meaning you may have 1.00 in your left eye and 1.25 in your right. I wear the reading glasses from walgreens myself. However I did have my vision checked and my eye doctor stated both of my eyes were the same perscription therefore I could use the glasses from the drug store. I have noticed that there are different qualities in over the counter glasses. So make sure the glass is clear and not cloudy. and there are not defects.

Although that might be hard to see if you need glasses LOL.
Good luck

I know a few people who use them and like them. But in my opinion, to be on the safe side, you should have your vision tested by an eye dr. They can prescribe the correct lenses for your eyes. I myself, can't use the over the counter glasses b/c I have a slight turn to my right eye. If the OTC glasses are too weak or too strong for your vison then yes they could do more damage then good.

They're just reading glasses right?
And you'll only use them for reading?

They're safe. :)
