If I have to close an email account and sign up with a new one (new service)...aside from letting people in my address book know ...what happens to people I only am in contact with once a year. Where does the email go if they send me one to my closed account? Is there anyway to forward a closed account to my new account??

Don't close the email account, just set up forwarding through it. Any email that goes to the old address will automatically get forwarded to your new address.

Easy! Just send the people your new address; if you want, check your old address occasionally

it will be sent back to their e mail saying there is no recipiant or they have changed their e mail
you could just tell them ur new e mail
