First thing -- relax. I don't know what browsers you're using, but I'm going to assume that it's a Windows machine, and either Internet Explorer.

The first order might be to "empty the cache" of your browser. By clearing the cache, you're making sure that bits of leftover information (such as some login information and a history of where the browser had been) are erased. Doing this will, among other things, help to erase some login sessions your son's friend may have left.

In Internet Explorer, go to the menu at the top, and click on Tools. Now, click on Internet Options.

In the window that opens, the "General" tab should be open. If it isn't, then click on the "General" tab. Now, click the button that says [Delete Cookies...], and click [Yes] to acknowledge that you want to delete the temporary files. Wait until the procedure is finished.

Now, click the [Delete Files] button and, in the window that opens, check the box that asks whether you want to "delete all offline content"; then click [OK].

Wait until it finishes deleting (it might take awhile).

Still on the "General" tab, look at the first entry, at the top. That's where you can specify what the Home page will be. If it's Yahoo, and that's what you want, that's fine. If it's some other page that you want, type the address (if you know it), or select [Use Current] when you get to the address you want to use (you'll have to open the Tools > Internet Options again) or select [Use Blank] to just open the browser with no content from a site.

That's it. If you use a different type of browser, the procedure is basically the same, but the buttons may be a little different.

I also suggest that you run some sort of anti-spyware on your machine, to make sure that you don't have any unwanted stuff hanging around. Check out "Spybot Search and Destroy" or "AdAware SE." I don't have the addresses of either handy, but if you type each one in Yahoo's search, you'll come up with the links.

Good luck!

Type in the site you want to come up when you access the Internet. Then, notice to the left of the site name (the URL) there is a small 'e' for Internet Explorer. Click and hold on it, then drag it into the house icon at the top left - center of the window.

You learned a valuable lesson didn't you!

Open your browser (IE, Firefox, whatever) get into Tools and change the default page the browser starts up with.

Have fun but be safe! You are responsible for your own safety as much as anyone!!!!!

go to the tools bar of your browser, and select options or preferences, depending on your browser, and change the home page in there to somthing you want as opposed to your sons friends yahoo page.

He must have logged into Yahoo and had it save his user name. Just log out (Should be near the top somewhere) and then you can log in as yourself again.
