Grand Theft Auto San Andreas,its has a two player run around,but it is really for one person,but it is a must have for a gamer!

Honestly I know it isn't brand new or 2 player but I'ld have to say the Devil May Cry series are probably the best games out for ps2. But if you're looking for 2 player I'ld look at the new tekken 5. Other single player games like God Of War and such are extremely good too.. Also try things like madden 06/07 and Final Fantasy:Dirge of Cerberus. All great games it's just up to you to decide which ones tickle your fancy.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is an awsome single player and 2-player game.

My favs are the Final Fantasies (7, 8 and 9 are my favs but played the others as well). I've also got Mortal Kombat, GranTurismo, Spyro (for the kiddo's), and Ratchet and Clank (for kiddo's but I love it too). I have some airplane flying ones, but hubby likes it more than I do. After that, majority of mine are for younger children and quite boring.

I'm a big fan of the Mortal Kombat games. I wouldn't recommend them for kids as they are graphic.

Personally i like rpg's (role playing games) so i dunno what age range you want but i would suggest X-Men legends 1 and 2, Fantastic Four, Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven, and then racing games.

You should try burnout, any of them for ps2.
